Indoor Lacrosse
The Upstate Indoor Lacrosse League (UILL) is part of the network of American Indoor Lacrosse Association (AILA) programs, services and activities dedicated to enhancing the skills, techniques, and knowledge base of lacrosse players throughout the United States.
The American Indoor Lacrosse Association is universally recognized as the premier indoor lacrosse organization focused on teaching field lacrosse players how to apply the indoor game to their field skill sets. Through the AIL's Academy, sanctioned leagues, elite-level teams, and high-quality tournaments, players receive extensive exposure and training in fundamental, intermediate, and advanced skills associated with the Canadian-style box game.
Unlike other "field inside" leagues, the Upstate Indoor Lacrosse League is a true indoor league modeled precisely along the lines of the Canadian/Native American box game. Players are taught and expected to apply the tools and techniques of the indoor game as a means of improving their overall play. Coaches are trained and certified to teach the strategy and tactics of indoor lacrosse, and through our referee certification program, officials enforce NLL-type rules specifically designed for all AILA-sanctioned leagues. The UILL covers AILA-sanctioned indoor lacrosse teams and leagues across the upstate region of the State from Buffalo through Rochester, Syracuse, Binghamton, and Albany.
The next generation of field lacrosse players in the United States are seeking opportunities to learn indoor lacrosse skills, current collge coaches are beginning to actively recruit field players with indoor lacrosse skills and knowledge, and the AILA is uniquely qualified and comitted to developing the next generation of lacrosse players by bringing an indoor league to you!
